Founded in 1953, it is the earliest research institute in the coal research industry of China. Its business mainly focus on the technology of coal mine safety and equipment research.
After years of development, the gas prevention technology, mine ventilation and fire prevention technology of CCTEGSYRI have reached internationally advanced level. CCTEGSYRI has obtained 42 national science and technology prizes, 226 technology prizes at the provincial and ministerial level and 44 different kinds of patents. It also constituted more than 300 national and industry standards. There are all together 600 staffs in CCTEGSYRI, among them, 16 people have doctor degree, 289 people have master degree.
